Pauline was born August 14, 1932, to Clarence and Edna Michels in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Our House Assisted Living in Cedar City and Horizon Home Health for the loving care given to Pauline. Arnold worked as a Volkswagen mechanic, taught Japanese courses at the Oregon Institute of Technology, and began his own successful company making custom gun grips. His Aunt Hilda married his father and raised him and his siblings. She raised a large garden every summer, teaching her children the value of hard work and self-reliance.
